Why it survives
the wash
A washable rug is not just a thin rug. Three things have to be true at once, or the rug comes out of the machine looking older than it went in.

Pile that locks in
Fibre is tufted densely so it does not pull loose or mat into clumps when wet. That is also why the rug still feels soft after the tenth wash, not just the first.

Colour that stays put
Yarn is dyed through rather than printed on the surface, so a cold wash does not leave pale streaks where the pattern used to be.

A back that holds its shape
The backing is dimensioned to return to flat after drying, so the corners do not curl up at the first wash and never lie down again.
How to wash: shake out loose dust, cold water, gentle cycle, no bleach, air dry or tumble low. Deep-pile rugs need a drum big enough for the rug to move — if yours is tight, use a laundrette.

Pick the size
before the colour
A beautiful rug that is one size too small makes a room feel smaller. Start from the furniture, then choose the pattern.
Rule of thumb: in a living room the rug should sit under the front legs of the sofa and run at least 20 cm past each side.

The four we get mostWill it actually fit in my washer?
Up to 5×7 fits a standard 5 kg drum if the rug can move freely. Larger sizes are better at a laundrette. Deep-pile rugs need more room than flat ones.
Does it shed?
A little loose fibre in the first week or two is normal. Vacuum gently without a beater bar; shedding settles after a few passes.
How fast is delivery?
Within the U.S. in 2–5 business days after dispatch. Free over $59, otherwise a flat $4.90.
What if the colour is off?
Screens vary and pile height changes how light falls. Return it unused within 30 days for a refund.
